CHARACTER INFO
Name: Xigbar
Gender: Male
Source: Kingdom Hearts
Canon point: Post Dream Drop Distance
Age: Nomura only knows. By appearance, somewhere in his 30s or so.
Colour: #A901DB
Chumhandle: guidedShot
History: Braig & Xigbar
Personality: When you get right down to it, there are two sides to Xigbar. The part that most people see, and the part that is who he truly is. On a first encounter, it would be entirely too easy to come to the conclusion that while cocky and laid-back, Xigbar is an easy enough guy to get along with. This assumption isn’t incorrect. By and large, Xigbar doesn’t seem to be the sort of guy who lets things bother him at all, and though he may be quick to offer a moment of snark, and almost surprisingly talkative, he doesn’t come off as too bad of an individual. Just someone who’s somewhat less than interested in following the straight and narrow path. In short, he generally seems to be the affably evil sort.
Who Xigbar is on the other hand is another story entirely. Though he still doesn’t lack in cockiness, he is anything but laid-back. He is a deadly opponent, a man who is almost ruthless in his decisions and a man who is willing to do just about anything to attain his goals. He is - or perhaps was at this point - also a man who was interested enough in the Keyblade that he was willing to follow Xehanort himself if it meant earning his own Keyblade. As such, he is one of the people who know most of Xehanort’s plan, and is thoroughly loyal to said cause. He has died for it, and he will mostly certain kill for it.
And then there’s the part where he’s also partially someone else. In return for - or perhaps to help ensure, canon isn’t really clear on this - his loyalty, he has been given a piece of Xehanort’s (metaphorical) heart, and is essentially slowly becoming (a clone of) Xehanort. As of the point at which he’ll be coming from, he’s about 50% Xehanort and perfectly okay with this fact. This partial possession doesn’t seem to affect his personality too much, but it does have the side effect of ramping up just how terrible he really is.
He’s also pretty good at adapting to things in general, which can make him a little bit unpredictable in combat, just in case his space-based shenanigans weren’t already enough
Abilities & physical limitations: As a (former) Nobody, Xigbar is capable both of controlling not only darkness, but also the element of space. In canon, he uses the former to travel between various worlds, and the latter to not only to teleport and generally disregard gravity, but also... sort of rearrange the space of a room. In Sburb however, he will find that much to his eternal regret, his portals will not take him to any planet that he’s not currently on, and as a largely short-distance sort of option, his teleportation will really only be good for make sure he can always abscond with relative ease. He will also be unable to teleport to anywhere within a fifteen foot radius of a gate, though he’ll be able to teleport out of a gate zone, if he really wants to.
Appearance: Like so
Notable AU differences from canon, if applicable: n/a
Strife Specibus: 2xGunkind
Prototyping: A Neoshadow (Underlings gain antennae, glowing yellow eyes, and an irritating tendency to hide in puddle of shadow)
Title: Taker of Marks
In-game abilities: In general, one might assume Taker to be an active class. In some cases, this might not be (Taker of Light, for example). In this particular case, however, it straddles the line between active and passive - Xigbar’s aspect is not something that is nearly as ever-present as many of the more common aspects and as such, there must first be a mark before he’ll be able to do anything about it.
But what then, does his given aspect cover? In what is either Sburb trying to cover its bases, or (more likely) Sburb throwing up its metaphorical hands, Marks governs everything that is or can be accurately called a mark. While this means that he’s pretty much set for any assassinations or bounty hunts, it also means that he’ll make just about the best stain remover Sburb has ever seen, can take anyone named Mark anywhere they need to get to, and is probably also capable of removing scars and/or blemishes (though not without a certain amount of pain on the removee’s end - he hasn’t got healing powers, after all!) Similarly, it should be noted that this abilities do not mean he’ll be the first to, the best to, or even the only person who can take any given mark. It only means that he will find himself with the capability to do so.
Finally, it should be noted that on the off-chance that he manages to achieve God Tiers, this will come with the full realization of the darkness that Xehanort has granted him. Additionally, while he may be able to take things like scars from other people, he will not be able to do so for himself. Sburb isn’t that kind, after all.
Planet: Land of Dolls and Shadows
The Land of Dolls and Shadows is a world of steep hills and the ruins of what might have once been a beautiful cityscape, locked in a permanent night. There are also hollow, multifaced dolls that wander freely across the countryside. Normally, this would be no great inconvenience, but of late the dolls have begun to reflect the light of the Denizen, Khepri. This in turn greatly inconveniences the hedgehog consorts, not only because they can no longer go stargazing but also because the unpredictable light plays merry hell with their attempts to sleep.
